About us
We started cultivating vineyards in 2010 on the historical land of Ateni where the highest quality grapes are grown and thus the best wine is made. The archival text written by Vakhushti Bagrationi in the XVII century attests to the fact that the greatest rulers drank wine from our region of Georgia (Ateni). When we initially harvested in 2017, we poured 300 bottles, and by the time we harvested again in 2021, that number had grown to 10,000 bottles. This year, we intend on pouring 30,000 bottles.Our target is not only to boost our harvest and quality every year but also to produce sparkling wine, which has made our valley well-known throughout the country. Additionally, we manufacture organic wine, which gives it a distinctive quality.
The Athenian wine is the most renowned in Kartli. It has a straw-colored tone, a flavorful aroma, and fruity undertones. The fact that our vineyards are situated on terraces in a volcanic valley on rocky limestone soil, which produces an exceptional wine with explosive, flowery, citrus, and mineral tones, was something we were able to add to all of everything.
In order to keep old traditions alive, we planted native grape types from the old Kartli:Chinebuli, Tavkveri, Goruli mtsvane, Shavkapito,Saferavi, Oak Green, Danakharuli in the two remarkable ravines of Ateni, Abanos ravine and Degeula ravine.In the near future, we want to build a hotel and a wine cellar where we can promote not only wine but also our valley and the wine industry globally.
